Account Number and Services

When you add a new UPS Supply Chain Solutions (UPS SCS) carrier account, the page to enter the UPS SCS account number appears. On this page, you also select the UPS SCS services with which you will ship packages from this location.
To configure the UPS SCS account number and services, complete these steps...

  1. In the Account Number field, type the UPS SCS account number for this location.
    Caution: This field allows numeric characters only.

  2. In Carrier Code, type a name for the carrier as you want it to appear in this Configuration Tool and in Parcel. For example, if you are setting up more than one UPS SCS account for this location, you might want to type UPSSCS-2 if this is the second UPS SCS account for this location.

  3. In the Services section, select the services that you will use to ship UPS SCS shipments from this location by moving them from the left-hand column to the right-hand column. To select all of the services at once, click ADD ALL.
    You can also use the MOVE UP and MOVE DOWN to change the order of the services in the list.

  4. When you are done configuring this page, click SAVE in the lower-right corner of the page to save the settings. Otherwise, click CANCEL to cancel the settings.

Shipper Defaults

Overview

Use the following tabs on the UPS SCS Shipper Defaults page to configure the default information to use with this UPS SCS account.

Address Tab

Use the Address tab on the UPS SCS Shipper Defaults page to enter the default "Ship From" or 'distribution center' address for this UPS SCS account.
Note: The fields on this screen are automatically populated with the corresponding information from the Location Details tab when you add a UPS SCS carrier. If you change this information, it takes precedence over the location information as the Ship From address.
Ship From section

Type the shipper's company name.

Address 1

Type the shipper's "Ship From" street address.

Address 2

Type any additional address information such as suite or floor for the shipper's "Ship From" street address.

Address 3

Type any additional address information such as suite or floor for the shipper's "Ship From" street address.

City

Type the shipper's "Ship From" city.

State/Province

Type the shipper's "Ship From" state or province code.

Postal Code

Type the shipper's "Ship From" postal code.

Country

From the list, select the shipper's "Ship From" country.

Click SAVE in the lower-right corner of the screen to save any changes you made or click CANCEL to cancel the changes

Default Tab

Use the Default tab on the UPS SCS Shipper Defaults page to enter the following settings for this UPS SCS account.

Site ID

Type the UPS SCS site ID for this distribution center provided to you by UPS.

Template Dir

Type the path to the template directory used by Parcel or accept the default (see following note). The template directory is where all of the label templates that Parcel uses are stored.
Note: This field is automatically populated when you add this UPS SCS carrier.

Manifest Printer Path

Type the path to the printer that is used to print UPS SCS manifests.

SOR Dir

Type the directory where the Consolidated Rate files are stored that the SOR Updater uses (see following Caution) or accept the default (see Note).
Note: The SOR Dir field is automatically populated when you add this UPS SCS carrier.
Caution: You must run the SOR Updater after performing a Close with Consolidation enabled to update Consolidated Rates table in the SOR database. The SOR Updater is located in the following folder with the following filename: ..\Kewill\Flagship\bin\SORUpdate.exe Double-click SORUpdate.exe to run the SOR Updater.

EOD Path

Type the path to the directory where end-of-day UPS SCS files are stored or accept the default (see following note).
Note: This field is automatically populated when you add this UPS SCS carrier.

Temp. Request

Type the prefix for the file that contains the request to the Gemini Web Services or accept the default (see following note).
Note: This field is automatically populated when you add this UPS SCS carrier.

Temp. Response

Type the prefix for the file that contains the response from the Gemini Web Services or accept the default (see following note).
Note: This field is automatically populated when you add this UPS SCS carrier.

Temp. Error

Type the prefix for the file that contains the error returned from the Gemini Web Services or accept the default (see following note).
Note: This field is automatically populated when you add this UPS SCS carrier.

Purge Days

Type the number of days after which a purge of records will be performed in the database or accept the default (see following note)
Note: This field is automatically populated when you add this UPS SCS carrier.

Update Days

Type the number of days after which a Country List update will be performed or accept the default (see following note).
Note: This field is automatically populated when you add this UPS SCS carrier.

Consolidation

From the drop-down list, select Yes if you want this UPS SCS account to consolidate shipments or accept the default of No.
Note: Depending on your contract with UPS, consolidation can offer discounted rates for high-volume shipments.

Type or paste one of the following URLs depending on whether you are accessing the Test site or the Production site:

Notes:

  • Parcel supports only Web Services with Gemini.

  • You can use either http or https in the address line. Using https results in slower response times.

Gemini Port

For Gemini Web services, leave this field blank.

Gemini Timeout

Type the maximum amount of time in seconds a transaction should take.
Caution: The default is 0 for no timeout. If you accept the default, Parcel waits until it receives a response from the Gemini Web Service, however long it takes. Otherwise , e2open, LLC. strongly recommends that you set this value sufficiently high to avoid problems with manifesting and closing.

User ID

Type the UPS SCS user ID provided by UPS for this account.

Password

Type the UPS SCS password provided by UPS for this account.

Gemini Log

To enable logging of Gemini Web Service transactions, select this check box.

Click SAVE in the lower-right corner of the screen to save any changes you made or click CANCEL to exit the screen without saving changes.

TrackingTab

Use the Tracking tab on the UPS SCS Shipper Defaults page to enter settings related to tracking for this UPS SCS account.

Tracking Server

Type the IP address of the UPS SCS tracking server.

Tracking Request Path

The path to store the Tracking Request file from the UPS SCS server appears. You can edit the path but do not edit the file name.

Tracking Response Path

The path to store the Tracking Response file from the UPS SCS server appears. You can edit the path but do not edit the file name.

Tracking URL

Type the URL of the UPS SCS tracking site.

Tracking Port

Type the port number for the tracking server.

User ID

Type the user ID for the tracking server.

Password

Type the password for the tracking server.

Click SAVE in the lower-right corner of the screen to save any changes you made.

Time in Transit Tab

Use the Time In Transit tab on the UPS SCS Shipper Defaults screen to enter settings related to time-in-transit for this UPS SCS account.

Calculate Transit Time

To specify calculation of transit times, select (check) this check box. Parcel uses the data that you import using the Import Time in Transit Files screen for transit time calculations.
Note: This check box is unselected by default.

Click SAVE in the lower-right corner of the screen to save any changes you made or click CANCEL to cancel changes and exit the screen.
