UPS Supply Chain Solutions (UPS SCS)
Account Number and Services
When you add a new UPS Supply Chain Solutions (UPS SCS) carrier account, the page to enter the UPS SCS account number appears. On this page, you also select the UPS SCS services with which you will ship packages from this location.
To configure the UPS SCS account number and services, complete these steps...

In the Account Number field, type the UPS SCS account number for this location.
Caution: This field allows numeric characters only. -
In Carrier Code, type a name for the carrier as you want it to appear in this Configuration Tool and in Parcel. For example, if you are setting up more than one UPS SCS account for this location, you might want to type UPSSCS-2 if this is the second UPS SCS account for this location.

In the Services section, select the services that you will use to ship UPS SCS shipments from this location by moving them from the left-hand column to the right-hand column. To select all of the services at once, click ADD ALL.
You can also use the MOVE UP and MOVE DOWN to change the order of the services in the list. -
When you are done configuring this page, click SAVE in the lower-right corner of the page to save the settings. Otherwise, click CANCEL to cancel the settings.

Use the following tabs on the UPS SCS Shipper Defaults page to configure the default information to use with this UPS SCS account.

Address Tab
Use the Address tab on the UPS SCS Shipper Defaults page to enter the default "Ship From" or 'distribution center' address for this UPS SCS account.
Note: The fields on this screen are automatically populated with the corresponding information from the Location Details tab when you add a UPS SCS carrier. If you change this information, it takes precedence over the location information as the Ship From address.

Default Tab
Use the Default tab on the UPS SCS Shipper Defaults page to enter the following settings for this UPS SCS account.

Type the UPS SCS site ID for this distribution center provided to you by UPS. |
Template Dir |
Type the path to the template directory used by Parcel or accept the default (see following note). The template directory is where all of the label templates that Parcel uses are stored.

Manifest Printer Path |
Type the path to the printer that is used to print UPS SCS manifests. |
SOR Dir |
Type the directory where the Consolidated Rate files are stored that the SOR Updater uses (see following Caution) or accept the default (see Note).

EOD Path |
Type the path to the directory where end-of-day UPS SCS files are stored or accept the default (see following note).

Temp. Request |
Type the prefix for the file that contains the request to the Gemini Web Services or accept the default (see following note).

Temp. Response |
Type the prefix for the file that contains the response from the Gemini Web Services or accept the default (see following note).

Temp. Error |
Type the prefix for the file that contains the error returned from the Gemini Web Services or accept the default (see following note).

Purge Days |
Type the number of days after which a purge of records will be performed in the database or accept the default (see following note)

Update Days |
Type the number of days after which a Country List update will be performed or accept the default (see following note).
|
Consolidation |
From the drop-down list, select Yes if you want this UPS SCS account to consolidate shipments or accept the default of No.

Gemini Timeout |
Type the maximum amount of time in seconds a transaction should take.

Type the UPS SCS user ID provided by UPS for this account. |
Password |
Type the UPS SCS password provided by UPS for this account. |
Gemini Log |
To enable logging of Gemini Web Service transactions, select this check box. |
Click SAVE in the lower-right corner of the screen to save any changes you made or click CANCEL to exit the screen without saving changes.
TrackingTab
Use the Tracking tab on the UPS SCS Shipper Defaults page to enter settings related to tracking for this UPS SCS account.

Tracking Request Path |
The path to store the Tracking Request file from the UPS SCS server appears. You can edit the path but do not edit the file name. |

The path to store the Tracking Response file from the UPS SCS server appears. You can edit the path but do not edit the file name. |
Tracking URL |
Type the URL of the UPS SCS tracking site. |
Tracking Port |
Type the port number for the tracking server. |
User ID |
Type the user ID for the tracking server. |
Password |
Type the password for the tracking server. |
Click SAVE in the lower-right corner of the screen to save any changes you made.
Time in Transit Tab
Use the Time In Transit tab on the UPS SCS Shipper Defaults screen to enter settings related to time-in-transit for this UPS SCS account.

To specify calculation of transit times, select (check) this check box. Parcel uses the data that you import using the Import Time in Transit Files screen for transit time calculations.
