Enabling ActiveX for Parcel
How Parcel Uses ActiveX
Parcel requires the following ActiveX controls to be running on your Internet Explorer browser:
-
ScaleX - For the operation of reading a scale if one is attached to your workstation's RS232 port.
-
KPrint ActiveX - Required by Parcel's client-based printing functionality that allows you to print from Parcel directly to a local printer.
Parcel installs these ActiveX controls automatically. After you log in to Parcel for the first time, a popup message may be displayed stating that your current settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly, and you need to change the security settings of your browser to enable ActiveX controls.
Caution: Depending
on how your Parcel system is set up, you may first need to contact your System Administrator for instructions on what your company's policies and procedures are for enabling ActiveX on your Internet Explorer Web browser.
