After Brexit, which is effective starting on January 1, 2021, the United Kingdom is not a part of EU.
•Shipment movement between the NIE and EU or vice versa will be treated as transborder shipment and customs clearance are not required.
•Shipment movement between the NIE and UK-M (England, Scotland, and Wales) or vice versa will be treated as domestic shipment and customs clearance are required.
•Shipment movement between the UK-M (England, Scotland, and Wales) and EU or vice versa will be treated as an international shipment and customs clearance are required.
•The Commercial Invoice and Certificate of Origin Reports will be generated for the transborder, domestic and international shipments between the NIE, UK-M and EU or vice versa.
•The Brexit Accessorial Charges will be applicable for all non-document shipments.
•For Legacy Accounts, the Brexit Accessorial Charges will be applicable for shipments between the United Kingdom and EU.
•For Worldwide Account, the Brexit Accessorial Charges will not be applicable for shipments between the United Kingdom and EU.
•The Brexit Accessorial Charges will not be applicable for UPS Worldwide Express Freight (SM) international service.
•UPS Access Point Service is allowed for the shipment movement between the United Kingdom/EU, UK-M/EU; NIE/EU and NIE/UK-M.
•For a domestic shipment within the United Kingdom, the only currency allowed for a COD shipment will be GBP. After Brexit, EURO is no longer valid.
•Parcel has implemented 'UPS Peak Surcharge' for Return Shipment from the following UPS EU countries to Mainland China on the UPS Worldwide Express Plus®, UPS Worldwide Express®, UPS Worldwide Express Saver®, UPS Worldwide Expedited®, and UPS Worldwide Express Freight® services, as per kilogram based upon the billable weight of the shipment, effective from May 31, 2020 until further notice.

Direct Delivery Only |
Direct Delivery Only is a contract service that must be enabled in the Shipper Defaults and then selected on a per shipment basis at time of ship. Ensures a package is delivered to the residential or commercial address provided by the sender. This service prevents recipients' packages from being redirected or rerouted when recipients are absent. This option applies to the Ship To address on the shipping label. Notes: •'Direct Delivery Only' checkbox appears in Shipment Tab, only when 'UPS Direct Delivery Only' checkbox is enabled in UPS EU - Shipper Default - Defaults Tab and vice versa. •Direct Delivery Only packages by default do not require a signature. So unless the sender separately specifies a Signature Required option for shipment delivery, these packages are eligible for Driver Release or Letter Box Release where available |
UPS International Returns |
This service enables a package recipient to obtain an international return label and commercial invoice with an outbound shipment via e-mail or local post or from the UPS driver picking up the package. Note: For an International Returns shipment with a Europe or Asia Pacific origin and a Canadian destination, Parcel does not print the B13A Export Form required by Canadian Customs for the return shipment. |
Dry Ice |
UPS allows dry ice shipments from European origins. This service requires a contract with UPS. |
Saturday Delivery |
Delivery on a Saturday. Excess Insurance |
The surcharge for Insurance coverage over the amount that UPS provides for free (currently UPS insures the first $100 (US) in value for free) or that incurs a flat fee. |
Paperless Invoice |
This service is automatically selected when paperless invoicing is available for the origin and destination countries, and the shipper account is configured to use paperless invoicing. |
Delivery Confirmation - Signature Required |
Confirmation of the delivery of the shipment. Provides automatic confirmation with a printed copy of the recipient's digital signature. Available with all UPS Europe and Asia Pacific shipping services. |
Delivery Confirmation - Adult Signature Required |
Confirmation of the delivery of the shipment. Provides automatic confirmation with a printed copy of the adult recipient's digital signature. Minimum age requirements for defining "adult" vary by country. Age 21 is the maximum requirement. Available with all UPS Europe and Asia Pacific shipping services. |
Extended Area Surcharge |
For delivery to areas outside the normal delivery area. (Automatically applies to shipments delivered to remote areas.) Available with all UPS Europe and Asia Pacific shipping services. |
Acknowledgement of Delivery |
Confirmation that the shipment has been delivered. Available with all UPS Europe and Asia Pacific shipping services. Note: The value for this accessorial is specified in the AOD field on the Accessorials screen in the Parcel Configuration (Web Admin) tool. |
Residential Indicator (Residential Delivery) |
Delivery to a residence. Available with all UPS Europe and Asia Pacific shipping services. |
UPS Returns |
Parcel supports the following UPS Returns service options: •International returns for all services (UPS Express Plus®, UPS Express®, UPS Standard, UPS Expedited® and UPS Express Saver®) except UPS Express NA1®. •UPS Return service with the UPS Express 12:00 service for Germany domestic shipments are (Electronic Return Label, One attempt, Print and Mail Return, Print Return Label and Three attempts). •Returns Plus. (see below) •Return of Document. (see below) Returns Plus Select Returns Plus 1 Attempt (one pickup attempt) or Returns Plus 3 Attempts (three pickup attempts). Each of these services is available with all UPS Europe and Asia Pacific shipping services. For "Return Plus n Attempts", there are two options: •Returns Plus 1 Attempt •Returns Plus 3 Attempts Return of Document Return of Document is only available for shipments with a Poland origin and destination. It indicates that this shipment requires that a signed invoice needs to be returned to the shipper. |
Return Label |
There are three options with this shipment-level service: •Electronic Return Label •Print and Mail Return Label •Print Return Label (This service results in Parcel printing a return label to be included in an outgoing shipment to the customer.) |
Large Package Surcharge |
This is a check box on the Warehouse Options screen. When enabled (checked), Parcel applies the surcharge for packages with a length plus girth greater than 330 cm. Select this check box if you to ensure that rates are accurate and you do not enter the dimensions for a shipment. |
Fuel Surcharge |
A fuel surcharge for package delivery is applied to each shipment where applicable based on the rules defined by the country of origin. (For most countries, this charge is currently 8.5% for Air shipments and 2.0% for Ground shipments. This surcharge applies to Shipping, Saturday Delivery, Residential Delivery and Extended Area charges. |
Notifications |
The Notifications tab on the Warehouse Options screen for a UPS Europe and Asia Pacific shipment allows you to specify the following types of notification: •Media Type – Drop-down list with following options: •Subject – Drop-down list with following options: •Request Type email addresses (5) with the following form: Request Type EMail <N> where N = 1-5 •Failure email addresses (5) with the following form: Failure EMail <N> where N = 1-5 •Memo addresses (5) with the following form: Memo <N> where N = 1-5 Note: As with any carrier, you first need to set up notifications. Using the Parcel Configuration (Web Admin) tool, set up notifications at the location level for the location from which you are shipping via UPS Europe and Asia Pacific. This service must be contracted with UPS and configured separately with Parcel. World Ease is available with the following services depending on your contract with UPS: Express, Expedited, UPS Standard, Saver/UPS Express Saver, Express Plus, and Express NA1. |
