Technology Updates

BluJay Solutions Parcel supports new version of Oracle 19c for SOR and IDATA databases.

Data Updates

The Address Validation file is updated with February 2021 data for Canada and US destinations.

General Enhancements  

A new Multi-Mode Report Global Setting has been added on the System > Settings > Locations to upload the aggregated shipment data to TMS Data Repository.

A new Multi Mode Report Task History screen has been added on the System > Scheduler to track the shipment data task details that are sent to TMS Data Repository.

A new Document and Forms screen has been added on the My Profile > Settings to auto print the document and forms at user level.

 Note: This is applicable only for Parcel New UI Application.  

A new Document and Forms section has been added on the System > Location > Settings > Shipper Defaults > Reports tab to auto print the document and forms at location level.

Carrier Enhancements  

Enhancements are made to the following carriers.  

FedEx

BluJay Solutions Parcel has been certified with FSMS 18.x

BluJay Solutions Parcel has added the following features and enhancements to FedEx FSMS:

As per FSMS 18.x requirement, a new FedEx International Controlled Export (FICE) service has been added to only support for exports the international shipments originating from U.S. and Puerto Rico. The FICE service supports for following FedEx services:

FedEx International Priority®

FedEx International Priority® Freight

FedEx International Priority DirectDistribution®

A new FedEx OnSite Location Type has been added at which the package is held.

A new Dry Ice as Coolant check box has been added on the Shipment tab in the Package Level Options section to dry ice ship as coolant.

A new Extra Hours Services (contact-only service) check box has been added on the Account Defaults in the Default tab to provide customers the next-day / 2nd day delivery to local areas with late pickups and large zone delivery option for FedEx U.S. Origin.

FedEx Home Delivery® packages now delivers seven days a week to most of the locations on Saturday and Sunday. And the package weight limit has been increased from 70 lbs to 150 lbs for FedEx U.S. Origin.

Parcel now supports the Saturday Delivery for processing UK domestic shipments with the following services:

FedEx Next Day® By 9 A.M.

FedEx Next Day® By 10 A.M.

FedEx Next Day® By 12 Noon

FedEx Next Day®

A new Exclude the Canada Taxes and Fuel Surcharge check box has been added on the Account Defaults in the Rate tab to exclude the Canada taxes and fuel surcharge from the Total Cost of the shipment for Intra-Canada Shipments.

A new FedEx Electronic Trade Document (ETD) service has been added at the Account Defaults to upload the FedEx generated trade or customs documents (customer generated or parcel generated) electronically for FedEx non-document international shipments to avoid delays at customs and deliver the shipments on time.

Note: Countries that do not accept FedEx ETD shipments are considered as EWO (Electronic with Originals) shipment and these shipments require paper copies for customs clearance.

Supports the ability to print ‘ETD’ and ‘EWO’ on the Label for FedEx shipments.  

Supports End of Day Close Process for FedEx ETD shipments.

A new ‘ETD Document Upload’ sub-menu has been added on the Ship > Reports to view the document upload status and upload the documents for pending or failed types.

Supports the ability to view the configured FedEx Generated ETD documents and view and print the configured Parcel Generated documents from the Shipment Details screen.

A new FedEx International Ground Consolidation (IGC) contractual service has been added at the Account Defaults to consolidate multiple international ground packages to and from US and Canada into a single consolidated shipment that clears customs as a single entity for reducing the brokerage costs, time in transit for the packages and provides end-to-end visibility to the recipients.

Notes:

IGC is valid only for FedEx International Ground service.

ETD is mandatory for IGC Shipments.

Parcel now does not require an Account Number for FedEx Ground shipments with the Billing Type "Collect/Consignee".

Canada Post

• A new Unpackaged Packaging Type has been added to apply Unpackaged Surcharge of $12 for Canada Post carrier.

UPS US

• Effective from September 27, 2020, the Electronic Export Information (EEI) filing is required for all shipments to China, Russia, and Venezuela destinations, regardless of value, that have an Export Commerce Control Number (ECCN) (i.e., not including EAR99 items).

2021 Rate Changes

This Release also includes 2021 Rate Changes for Canada Post, UPS US, UPS SurePost, UPS Canada, UPS Europe and Asia/Pacific and USPS carriers.

Brexit Compliace Updates

This Release also includes Brexit Compliance updates for UPS EU (includes Soft and Hard Brexit) and DHL Global Carriers, effective starting on January 1, 2021, the United Kingdom is not a part of EU.
