Features and Enhancements Supported in this Release

Data Updates    

The Address Validation file is updated with September 2020 data for Canada and US destinations.

Updated UPS URC (URC Oct 2020 – v34.5) File for UPS US, UPS Canada and UPS Europe carriers.

General Enhancements  

Parcel now filters scheduled tasks by location, allowing the viewer to add, update, and delete tasks for the location the user is currently logged into.

Parcel now allows the users to schedule the Manage and Future tasks as per the time zone of the location that is configured in the location settings while adding, searching, and executing the tasks.

A new ‘Day Offset’ drop-down list has been added on the ‘Manage Tasks’ in the Add screen to configure ship date with an offset of +/- 7 days from the current date.

Carrier Enhancements  

Enhancements are made to the following carriers.

USP US and UPS Europe/Asia-Pacific

Parcel now validates Dry Ice and ISC Category B, Biological Substances shipments for postal codes and city with an origin and destination countries.

UPS US, UPS CA, UPS Europe/Asia-Pacific, and UPS SurePost

• BluJay Solutions Parcel has implemented 'UPS Peak Surcharge' as a General Service Offering (GSO) on both domestic and international services for Residential, Commercial, Large Packages and Additional Handling for UPS US, CA, EU, APAC, and UPS SurePost carriers.

  On the UPS Data Import / Import Files screen, a new ‘Peak Surcharge Data Directory’ field has been added and ‘Effective Date’ field has been renamed  to ‘Import Date’ field.  

  To import UPS Peak Surcharge data files for UPS US, CA, EU, APAC, and UPS SurePost carriers, please enter the details, as shown below:

Import Date: Type the Peak Surcharge Import date in YYYYMMDD format. This is optional field.

Peak Surcharge Data Directory: Type the path to the folder to which you extracted the UPS Peak Surcharge file; for example: C:\Program Files\Kewill\Flagship\psdata\

• The following DI Server Input key is added, as per specification.

PEAKSURCHARGE_DIRECTORY – Use this key to specify the peaksurcharge directory for the data files.

     For Example: C:\Program Files\Kewill\Flagship\psdata\

USP US

BluJay Solutions Parcel has implemented 'UPS Peak Surcharge' to update Surcharges based on the volume for Large Packages, Additional Handling, and Residential Surcharges.

To configure Peak Surcharges based on the volume of the packages for Accessorials like Large Packages, Additional Handling, and Residential Surcharges, please refer to:

A new tab labeled ‘Accessorials (PeakSurcharge)’ has been added with fields Effective Date, Expiry Date, Service Name, Accessorial Name, Accessorial Value and Package Volume to configure service-based UPS Peak Surcharge for Large Packages, Additional Handling and Residential Surcharges.

Note: Previously, we added ‘Peak Surcharge - UPS Ground Residential’ and ‘Peak Surcharge – Large Package’ sections under Shipper Default > Rating tab to support 'UPS Peak Surcharge' for UPS® Ground Residential and Large Packages. Now, we have removed these sections.

USPS

Includes the 2020 Temporary Rates Changes for USPS carrier are effective from October 18, 2020 to December 27, 2020, see the USPS website.

The USPS Rates are updated for the following domestic services:

Parcel Select DNDC

Parcel Select Ground

Priority Mail Commercial

Priority Mail Express Commercial

FCPS Commercial (Weight Not Over (ounces))

Parcel Select Lightweight

UPS SurePost

Updated rates for all the UPS SurePost services (increase by $0.24) are effective from October 18, 2020.

Purolator

Includes the 2020 Compliance Changes for Purolator carrier which are effective from October 13, 2020.

The Purolator Compliance Changes are as follows:

The Package Weight for Oversized Special Handling type (SH09) has been changed from greater than 70lbs to 50lbs.  

The Heavy Weight Indicator will no longer apply if the Package Weight is between 50.01lbs and 70.00lbs.

The SH09 and Heavy Weight Indicators still applies if the Package Weight is greater than or equal to 70.01lbs and up to a maximum of 150lbs.

USMCA

The U.S. – Mexico – Canada Agreement (USMCA) is a trade agreement between US, Canada and Mexico that will replace the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). It will be effective from July 1, 2020.

NAFTA document has been renamed to ‘Certification of Origin (USMCA/CUSMA/T-MEC)'.

Based upon the destination country the name of the documents will be displayed:  

USA Destination, USMCA – United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement.

Canada Destination, CUSMA – Canada–United States–Mexico Agreement.

Mexico Destination, T-MEC – Treaty between Mexico, the United States and Canada.  

NAFTA checkbox on Items tab has been renamed to USMCA checkbox.

 On the INTL > Details tab, a new USMCA Certifier field has been added to select the USMCA certifier type from drop-down list:

Exporter: Displays the Exporter details, such as Exporter Name, Address, Telephone Number and Email Address in the USMCA/CUSMA/T-MEC document.

Importer: Displays the Importer details, such as Importer Name, Address, Telephone Number and Email Address in the USMCA/CUSMA/T-MEC document.

Producer: Displays the Producer details, such as Producer Name, Address, Telephone Number and Email Address in the USMCA/CUSMA/T-MEC document.

USMCA document supports for Return shipments between US, Canada, and Mexico origins. Based upon the destination country the name of the documents will be displayed.  

The following DI Server Input keys are added / updated, as per specification.

NAFTA-I has been renamed to USMCA-I.

oSet ‘USMCA’ flag to ‘y’ if USMCA certificate is required.

USMCA_CERT_TYPE (values: E,I,P) has been added.

     USMCA_CERT_TYPE’ DI server key is used to set Certifier type. Below are the valid values to set Certifier type.

     E – Exporter

     I – Importer

     P - Producer

DOCID Key for generating USMCA document is COUS-1.

    For all carriers including Purolator ‘COUS-1’ can be used as DOCID to generate USMCA document.

Cessation of Support

Parcel now stops in supporting 19.0.0, 19.1.0 and 19.2.0 versions.    

UCM 21.0.0

UCM v21.0.0 supports new format of versioning for UCM carriers.
