•BluJay Solutions Parcel supports newer versions of MySQL Server and MyODBC as follows:

Data Updates    

•The Address Validation file is updated with June 2020 data for Canada and US destinations.

•Updated UPS URC (URC April 2020 – v28.5) File for UPS US, UPS Canada and UPS Europe carriers.

General Enhancements

•Added Who-Pays-What Rules to increase the flexibility to the customers in billing the shipping charges, duty, and taxes in a variety of ways based on the selection of Payor or Payors (Shipper/Consignee/Third Party) for the UPS domestic and international shipments. We no longer support Prepaid Freight/3rd Party Duties & Taxes.

•Parcel has implemented 'UPS Peak Surcharge' for Return Shipment from UPS US to Mainland China on the following services, as a rate per pound based upon the billable weight of the shipment, effective from May 24, 2020 until further notice.

•Parcel has implemented 'UPS Peak Surcharge' to U.S. origins for UPS® Ground Residential and Large Packages.

On the Shipper Default > Rating tab, a new panel labeled ‘Peak Surcharge - UPS Ground Residential’ has been added with fields Accessorial Value, Effective date and Expiry date.  

 

To configure UPS Peak Surcharge for UPS® Ground Residential service, please enter the details, as shown below:

▪Accessorial Value: Type the Peak Surcharge value for UPS Ground Residential; for example: 0.30 Per Package.

▪Effective date: Type the Peak Surcharge effective date in the form yyyymmdd; for example: 20200531.

▪Expiry date: Type the Peak Surcharge expiry date in the form yyyymmdd. This is an optional field when user does not know the expiry date.

 

On the Shipper Default > Rating tab, a new panel labeled ‘Peak Surcharge – Large Package’ has been added with fields Accessorial Value, Effective date and Expiry date.

 

Large Packages are defined as packages with length (longest side of the package) plus girth [(2 x width) + (2 x height)] combined exceeding 130 inches, or with length exceeding 96 inches.

 

To configure UPS Peak Surcharge for Large Packages, please enter the details, as shown below:

▪ Accessorial Value: Type the Peak Surcharge value for Large Packages; for example: 31.45 Per Package.

▪ Effective date: Type the Peak Surcharge effective date in the form yyyymmdd; for example: 20200531.

▪ Expiry date: Type the Peak Surcharge expiry date in the form yyyymmdd; This is an optional field when user does not know the expiry date.

UPS Canada

We no longer support ‘Recipient Third Party’ Billing Type.

•Added a new UPS Express® – 12:00 service for Germany domestic shipment.

•Added UPS Broker of Choice, a contractual service to use an alternate broker for customs clearance of UPS international shipments.

•Parcel supports a new functionality to update weekly FSC (Fuel Surcharge) value from a single source to access weekly FSC data from UPS.com.

  To configure UPS Peak Surcharge for UPS SurePost Package:

  Navigate to Accessorials tab, for existing ‘ac_Residential_PeakSurcharge’ Accessorial Name, please update the Accessorial Value to ‘0.30’, Effective Date to ‘20200628’ and Expiry Date to ‘21001231’.

•Effective from April 2020, the packages that qualify for Large Package Special Handling type (SH07) will be subject to a Minimum Billable (Cubed) weight defined.
