DHL Global - Overview |

The Parcel DHL Global carrier operates in conjunction with DHL XML-PI Services (a type of Web service). This online integration platform that provides a range of information including service availability, rating, tracking, and other support for shipments originating in a multiplicity of countries including the U.S. (see the Supported Origins table). Click this link for more information on DHL XML-PI Services.
Note: Internet connectivity is required when configuring and using a DHL Global carrier.
Parcel supports the following origins, services, payment types, packaging types, printers, labels, and forms and reports.
For a DHL Global carrier, Parcel supports countries of origin located in the following regions:

Parcel supports the following packaging types with DHL Global:
•User Packaging (Custom packaging in DHL terminology)
•Other DHL Packaging
Parcel supports the following printers with DHL Global for U.S. origins and for Europe and Asia/Pacific Day Definite and Time Definite Services:
•Eltron – For DHL-compliant labels for U.S. origin locations
•Datamax – For DHL-compliant labels for U.S. origin locations
•Zebra – For DHL-compliant labels
•PNG – For plain paper printing
Parcel supports the following printers with DHL Global for Europe and Asia/Pacific origins Domestic Express Services only:
•Intermec
•Zebra ZPL 203 DPI Label Printer
•Domestic Printer (PNG)
Notes:
•Supported printers include only those models that print at 203 dpi.
•Once a label is printed on a Zebra printer, it can only be reprinted on a Zebra printer and not on an Eltron printer.
•Thermal labels (all 4 DHL services): 4 x 6 inch label for Europe and Asia/Pacific only.
•PNG labels: 8.5 x 11 inch plain paper (all origins).
•For U.S. origins, 4x8 inch all thermal label stock.
DHL requires the IATA Shipper's Declaration for Dangerous Goods form for all dangerous goods packages. Additional forms can also be printed.

When configuring a DHL Global a DHL Global XML-PI carrier, keep in mind that Parcel currently uses XML-PI version 5.21.
DHL Global has the following two types of Accounts:
1. Import Account: The Import Account Number starts with 95 or 96.
2. Export Account: The Export Account Number can be any account number, other than starting with 95 or 96.
