Enhancements to Time in Transit

Flagship now includes the following time in transit functionality:

•You can now create and import custom time in transit files for most carriers in Flagship to use with time in transit calculations.

•For carriers that provide their own time in transit data, you can configure Flagship to use this resource for time in transit. You can also configure Flagship to use local time in transit data in case data from the carrier is unavailable.

•Flagship now supports auto-select for choosing best rates and transit times. To use the auto-select feature, select one of the following options when creating a Rate Shop:
- Lowest Cost
- Fastest Time
- Lowest Cost and Fastest Time

•To use the standard Rate Shop without Auto-select, create your Rate Shop and select “No Auto-select.” With this configuration, Flagship will display the standard popup window from the Warehouse screen with all the available rate and time in transit options for carriers and services.

Enhancements to Pre-ship (PSHP) and Confirm Ship (CSHP)

The following enhancements were made to PSHP and CSHP:

•Improvements to the way PSHP and CSHP function in tandem.

•Improved error handling.

•Label suppression option when labels are not needed for PSHP and/or CSHP operations.

Enhancements to FedEx

The following are enhancements to Flagship support for FedEx services:

•Support for FedEx Ship Manager Server® version 11.x.

•The following enhancements to the way Flagship handles hazardous materials are included:
- Allowed number of commodities per package is increased.
- New validation for hazmat and ORM-D related data .

•Support for dry ice shipments with FedEx Ground and Home Delivery services within the 48 contiguous US states.

•Support for Small Quantity Exception for FedEx Ground and FedEx Home Delivery services.

•Support for shipment of non-hazardous lithium batteries.

•Enhancements to shipping alcohol.

•Support for Closing FedEx shipments by service.

•Support for shipping with Trailer ID.

•Support for shipping multiple Express hazmat shipments.

•Hold at FedEx Location service is extended to FedEx Ground® service.

•Fraud Protection enhancement.

•For U.S. origins, support for two new services: FedEx 2Day® A.M. and First Overnight® Freight.

•For Canada origins, support for FedEx Economy. (Same service commitments as FedEx 2Day® A.M.)

•For Mexico origins, the following FedEx Express® services previously available only in the United States are now available in Mexico for domestic services:
- FedEx First Overnight®
- FedEx Priority Overnight®
- FedEx Standard Overnight®
- FedEx 1Day® Freight
- FedEx 2Day® Freight

Note: Flagship 5.0 requires the FedEx Ship Manager® Server version 11.x and higher.

Enhancements to FedEx SmartPost

The following enhancements are included for FedEx SmartPost:

•Support for FedEx SmartPost® Returns contract service for high-volume, low-weight residential packages, including support FedEx SmartPost® Print Return and FedEx SmartPost® E-Mail Return labels

•Added Future Day shipping support.

•Support for alternate HUB ID.

•Support for shipping by Trailer ID.

•Support for Oversize, Balloon, and Non-machinable special services.

•Support for branding changes

Enhancements to Newgistics

The following enhancements have been made to Flagship support for Newgistics:

•Close functionality is enhanced to receive the data required to complete the First Leg Shipment, including popup window on Close page to request this information when Delivery shipments are included in Close.

•Support for USPS Intelligent Mail package barcode (IMpb), including the 2012 version.

•Enhanced workflow during Close operations, including improved error handling.

•Support for new Non-Continental surcharge.

•Support for APO/FPO shipments.

Enhancements to UPS

The following enhancements have been made to Flagship support for UPS:

•Verification of service for by origin, destination, and lane for all countries on the Flagship Country list (postal code countries and non-postal code countries).

•Support for paperless USMCA for US and Canada.

•Enhanced labels to comply with the UPS 2012 Business Requirements Document (BRD).
