Use this screen to specify default USPS Commercial pricing for the following types of shipments:
•Domestic Domestic Priority Express Mail
•Domestic Priority Mail Parcel
•Domestic Priority Mail Letter/Flat-Rate
•Priority Mail Express International (see Caution)
•Priority Mail International (see Caution)
Warning: Currently USPS International Services are disabled in Parcel pending the availability of the USPS systems required to support them. In anticipation of this support, these services are still options on the Web Admin carrier setup screen for a USPS carrier but including them for the carrier and specifying them for a shipment returns an error message.
The term Commercial Rates can refer to the following:
•Commercial Base Pricing – No volume requirements other than normal permit imprint or presort requirements, if applicable. Eligibility is based primarily on how shipments are prepared. These reduced rates are available for customers who use systems that generate an IBI (Information Based Indicia) and submit data electronically to USPS.
•Commercial Plus Pricing – Eligibility is based primarily on shipping volume as follows:
- Priority Mail®: 75,000 pieces or more in prior year.
- Priority Mail Express®: 5,000 pieces or more in previous four quarters.
•Commercial Plus Cubic Pricing – Available for Priority Mail Domestic shipments only. See the following Help topic for a description: Commercial Plus Cubic Pricing.
Note: These options are available only for eVS customers with a Carrier Contract from USPS. See the Help topic: Carrier Contract (CSSC).
