US Postal Service - Account Defaults - Bound Printed Matter Tab |

Use the Account tab on the US Postal Service Account Defaults page to enter the following values for use with this US Postal Service account.
Unless otherwise noted, all settings apply only to this US Postal Service account at this location.
Minimum Pieces section
Use this section to define the minimum number of pieces of each service type to qualify for discounted rates.

Type the minimum number of pieces to qualify for discounted destination SCF rates. Currently, this value as set by the US Postal Service is 300. |
Presorted |
Type the minimum number of pieces to qualify for presorted rates. Currently, this value as set by the US Postal Service is 300. |
Plant-Verified Drop Shipment |
Type the minimum number of pieces to qualify for discounted plant-verified drop shipment (PVDS) rates. Currently, this value as set by the US Postal Service is 300. |
Standard |
Type the minimum number of standard Bound Printed Matter pieces to qualify for discounted rates. Currently, this value as set by the US Postal Service is 250. |
Sack |
Type the minimum number of pieces to qualify for sack rates. Currently, this value as set by the US Postal Service is 10. |
Destination NDC |
Type the minimum number of pieces to qualify for discounted destination NDC rates. Currently, this value as set by the US Postal Service is 300. |

Type the minimum weight for a Bound Printed Matter shipment. |
Sack Minimum Weight |
Type the minimum weight that a filled sack has to be to qualify for sack rates. |
Secondary Destination NDC Sort |
If you qualify for secondary destination NDC sort rates, select this check box. |
Early Entry Discount |
If you qualify for the early entry discount, select this check box. |
Plant-Verified Drop Shipment |
If you process plant-verified drop shipments, select this check box. |
MAC Version |
This field is not used. The Parcel version number is displayed by default. |
Transit Time section
In this section, you type the transit time (average number of days from pickup to delivery) for each service.

Transit time for a Single-Piece. The default is 3 days. |
Presorted |
Transit time for a Presorted piece. The default is 3 days. |
Destination NDC |
Transit time for a Destination NDC piece. The default is 3 days. |
Destination SCF |
Transit time for a Destination SCF piece. The default is 3 days. |
Note on default values for USPS Transit Times
The US Postal Service does not guarantee delivery dates or times. The default values for the Transit Time fields listed in the previous table represent best estimates from experience for the number of days between the ship date and the delivery date for the various types of services listed.
Presort section
This section displays the US Postal Service rules for presorted Bound Printed Matter (BPM) shipments. Presorted Bound Printed Matter shipments are required to be in bundles if the shipment has 10 pieces in it or the shipment weighs 10 pounds. The maximum weight for a bundle is currently 20 pounds.
