Note: This section is not called out with a separate heading on the Parcel UI but consists of the fields named Air and Ground (see the following table).
Use this section to define the minimum billable weight for UPS Large Packages. Large Packages are those that measure greater than 130 inches in length plus girth up to the maximum of 165 inches in length plus girth [length + (2 x width) + (2 x height)] regardless of actual weight (maximum actual weight is still 150 lbs).
The Large Package surcharge (currently $40.00) and the minimum billable weight (currently 90 lbs) applies to domestic air, domestic ground, and Hundredweight service packages and to UPS Standard to Canada packages that qualify as Large Package.
To determine the weight at which to rate these large packages, Parcel does the following:
1.Compare the actual weight to the dimensional weight and use the greater of the two as the billable weight.
2.Compare the billable weight to the Large Package minimum billable weight (90 lbs) and use the greater of the two as the final billable weight.
