New Features and General Enhancements

The following are new features and enhancements included with the original Flagship 6.0 release and/or the current Flagship 6.0 patch release:

•New Universal Carrier Module (UCM) version 2.5 with enhanced functionality. See the Flagship 6.0 Release Notes for a full listing of new UCM features and enhancements.

•Additional API keys for all carriers including keys for the CFM module.

•Support for Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) 10 as client browser.

•Added field The Customs sub-tab on the Warehouse screen INTL tab includes the new Ultimate Consignee Type field to support CFM. See the following Help topic: CFM - INTL Tab - Customs Sub-tab.

•Shipper's Letter of Instructions – Flagship now includes the Shipper's Letter of Instructions as a new report available for international shipments (for US origin only).

•Liability Text Section for Generic Carrier – A section for entering the text for the Liability Notice on the bill of lading (BOL) is added to the Bill of Lading tab on the Generic Carrier Shipper Defaults screen  If you wish to customize the standard notice use the fields in this section.  

The following international reports are updated and can now be printed using the DPRN API request:

•Commercial Invoice

•Certificate of Origin
 
Note: The updated Commercial Invoice report is now a Jasper report that replaces the old .html report.

Carrier Specific Enhancements

The following carrier-specific enhancements are included in Flagship 6.0.

FedEx

Note: Flagship 6.0 requires version 12.x of the FedEx Ship Manager® Server (FSMS).

Flagship 6.0 includes the following enhancements to FedEx:

•1D Barcode – This new supported FedEx barcode for FedEx Express services includes more shipment detail on the label, as well as improved legibility.

•FedEx Priority Alert Plus®– FedEx Priority Alert® and FedEx Priority Alert Plus® are contract service options that can be applied with certain FedEx domestic and international services. FedEx Priority Alert® monitors package and shipment status 24/7. Additionally. FedEx Priority Alert Plus® provides proactive recovery. If FedEx Priority Alert Plus® and FedEx Priority Alert® are configured in Flagship, the Warehouse Options screen provides a drop-down list to select one of these options.

•FedEx International Return Solutions – FedEx Return Solutions are now available for intra-country and international labels, as well as email labels, for shipping from all supported origins and return shipping from all supported destinations.

•International Dry Ice – Flagship now enables dry ice shipments from supported international origins to international destinations.

•New International Commercial (INCO) Terms – The following new INCO terms are added for a FedEx carrier:
- DAP (Delivered at Place)
- DAT (Delivered at Terminal)

UPS

Flagship 6.0 includes the following enhancements to UPS:

•UPS Worldwide Express FreightTM – This new service is now included for UPS US, Canada, and Europe origins including API keys. See the following Help Topics:

- UPS Canada - Supported Services - UPS Worldwide Express Freight(SM)
- UPS Europe and Asia Pacific - Supported Services - UPS Worldwide Express Freight(SM)

•Carbon Neutral – UPS uses this optional charge to purchase certified carbon offsets that counterbalance the emissions produced by the transportation of shipments. Flagship 6.0 enables you to specify carbon neutral for the domestic and international services that support it. The Carbon Neutral option is supported for UPS US and Canada origins.

•International Returns – This service enables a package recipient to obtain an international return label and commercial invoice with an outbound shipment via e-mail or local post or from the UPS driver picking up the package.

•New International Commercial (INCO) Terms – The following new INCO terms are included for a UPS carrier:
- DAP (Delivered at Place)
- DAT (Delivered at Terminal)

•Flagship 6.0 also includes added support for Asia Pacific origins. (See the section "Current Constraints" for more information on supported destinations.)

OnTrac

A new OnTrac carrier includes functionality that accesses the OnTrac Web Service for rating and time in transit, as well as updated services and other enhancements. This carrier replaces the previous OnTrac (legacy) carrier.
