The USPS Track/Confirm Web Service relies on a USPS Web Tool that lets customers determine the delivery status of their Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express, and Package Services (Parcel Post, Bound Printed Matter, Library Mail, and Media Mail) items sent using the Delivery Confirmation option. This Web Service also provides tracking data via a local Web site. The Web Service returns tracking and/or delivery confirmation information for packages requested by the client.
To access the USPS Track/Confirm Web Service an account must be created. Please consult your USPS representative for information on registering to use the USPS Track/Confirm Web Service. For more information, see the following USPS Web page: http://www.usps.com/webtools/delivery.htm
Note: The USPS Track/Confirm Web Tool limits the data requested to 10 packages per transaction.

Note on the operation of USPS Tracking Number ranges
If you change the USPS Tracking Number range while Parcel is still cycling through the existing range, the change takes effect according to the following table:
In the current Tracking Number is... |
|
Lower than the lowest number of the new Tracking Number range... |
Parcel recycles the Tracking Number sequence, so that the current number is now the lowest number of the new range. For example, if the current number is 1935 but the new range extends from 2,000-10,000, Parcel changes the current Tracking Number to 2,000 and begins assigning and incrementing Tracking Numbers from that point. |
Higher than the highest number of the new Tracking Number range... |
Parcel recycles the Tracking Number sequence, so that the current number is now the lowest number of the new range. For example, if the current number is 10,523 but the new range extends from 2,000-10,000, Parcel recycles the Tracking Numbers, changing the current Tracking Number to 2,000 and begins assigning and incrementing Tracking Numbers starting with the new lower limit (2,000). |
Within the new Tracking Number range... |
Parcel continues incrementing Tracking Numbers from the existing number until the upper limit of the new Tracking Number range is reached, at which point Parcel recycles Tracking Numbers starting with the new lower limit of the range. For example, if the current Tracking Number is 3,456 and the new range extends from 2,000-10,000, Parcel continues incrementing Tracking Numbers from the current Tracking Number until the new upper limit (10,000) is reached. At this point, Parcel recycles the Tracking Numbers and begins assigning and incrementing them starting with the new lower limit (2,000). |
