UPS Supply Chain Solutions - Supported Services

The following UPS Supply Chain Solutions services and Special Services are supported for a Canada or United States origin:

Note: The services listed in the following tables have the form in which they are displayed on the Warehouse Service drop-down list for UPS SCS carrier.

UPS 2nd Day Air Freight-DOM

Guaranteed delivery by 12:00 noon or 5:00 p.m. on the second business day, depending on destination.

UPS 2nd Day Air Freight NGS-DOM

Delivery by 12:00 noon or 5:00 p.m. on the second business day, depending on destination.

UPS 3 Day Freight-DOM

DEFR

Guaranteed delivery within three or four business days by 5:00 p.m., depending on destination.

UPS 3 Day Freight NGS-DOM

DFNG

Delivery within three or four business days by 5:00 p.m., depending on destination.

Sat Delivery-DOM

SAT

For time-critical shipments, UPS offers the convenience of Saturday Delivery.

Notes:

Use domestic services for U.S. shipments to Canada and Puerto Rico as well.

All freight services require you to enter dimensions.

CA

Day-definite, airport-to-airport service.

UPS Express Freight

CX

Guaranteed door-to-door by end of day within one to three business days, depending on destination.

UPS Air Freight Consolidated

EC

Day-definite, airport-to-airport service, with delivery within three to five business days.

Note: You can combine the following Package Level Options on the Warehouse Options screen with the International services listed in the previous table:

Delivery to Door

Customs Clearance

 

Special Services/Accessorials - most of these services can be selected in the Options dialog box (while processing a package on the Warehouse page, click [OPTIONS] on the Parcel tab).

Service

Description

Check to Shipper (CTS)

Limited to less than $50,000.

Contact name and phone number required.

Note: Applies to API transactions only.

Confirm Delivery

Provides confirmation of delivery of the shipment.

Notes:

Applies to International shipments only.

From the Warehouse page, click [OPTIONS], then select the Confirm Delivery check box.

Customs Clearance

Allowed with International services only. Refer to the descriptions of International services in the International Services table to determine which services include Customs Clearance.

Note: Select the appropriate International service from the Service list on the Parcel tab of the Warehouse page.

Declared Value

From the Warehouse page, click [OPTIONS], and then type the value of the shipment for insurance purposes in the Declared Value field.

Delivery Duty Paid

International services only. Billing term - Seller is responsible for all transportation, customs clearance, and duties or taxes (a totally prepaid shipment).

Note: From the Warehouse page, click [OPTIONS], then select the DDP check box.

Delivery Duty Unpaid

International services only. Billing term - Seller is responsible for all transportation and customs clearance. The buyer is responsible only for the payment of customs duties/taxes abroad.

Note: From the Warehouse page, click [OPTIONS], and then select the DDU check box.

Delivery to Door

Allowed with International services only. Refer to the descriptions of International services in the International Services table to determine which services include Delivery to Door.

Note: Select the appropriate International service from the Service list on the Parcel tab of the Warehouse page.

Hazardous Materials

Transport of hazardous materials or dangerous goods.

Notes:

From the Warehouse page, click [OPTIONS], then select the Hazmat check box.

Although you can ship hazardous materials using the Parcel UPS SCS carrier module, Parcel does not provide hazardous materials documents with this type of shipment.

Hold at Airport for Pickup (HAPU)

Contact name and phone number required.

Note: From the Warehouse page, click [OPTIONS], then select the Hold At Airport for Pickup check box.

Inside Delivery

For freight service shipments that need to be delivered inside a building. Inside Delivery often includes unpacking and assembling of the shipment (and removal of old equipment if requested).

Note: From the Warehouse page, click [OPTIONS], then select the Inside Delivery check box.

Liftgate Required

When there is no loading dock, special equipment is needed to pick up shipments from the ground level and raise them to the truck trailer level and/or lower shipments from the truck trailer to ground level.

Note: From the Warehouse page, click [OPTIONS], then select the Liftgate Required check box.

Notify on arrival

Provides notification to the shipper on arrival of the shipment at its destination.

Note: From the Warehouse page, click [OPTIONS], then select the Notify on arrival check box. If you select this service, contact information is required (values for the fields Contact Name and Contact Phone).

Saturday Pickup

Pickup on a Saturday.

Note: From the Warehouse page, click [OPTIONS], then select the Saturday Pickup check box.

Two-Person Delivery

For shipments that require two people to deliver it.

Note: From the Warehouse page, click [OPTIONS], then select the Two Man Delivery check box.
