C.O.D.

The carrier collects payment upon delivery and transmits collected payments to the shipper.

To select C.O.D. while processing a Generic carrier package on the Warehouse page, click [OPTIONS]. On the Shipment tab, select the COD type and option on the left side, then enter the COD Amount on the right side of the screen. For multi-package shipments, the COD Amount can be different for each package, but the COD type and option must be the same for all of the packages in the shipment.

Declared Value

The value of the package contents for insurance purposes.

While processing a Generic carrier package on the Warehouse page, click [OPTIONS], then enter the Declared Value amount on the Shipment tab.

E-Mail Notification

E-mail notification about the status of the shipment. You can specify an e-mail address to which to send an e-mail when the shipment is delivery, delayed, or sent.

While processing a Generic carrier package on the Warehouse page, click [OPTIONS], then enter the e-mail address in the E-mail on Delivery, Delay, or Sent fields.

Hazardous Materials

For the transport of substances that are classified as hazardous materials or dangerous goods.

Inside Delivery Area

For freight service shipments that need to be delivered inside a building. Inside Delivery often includes unpacking and assembling of the shipment (and removal of old equipment if requested).

While processing a Generic carrier shipment on the Warehouse page, click [OPTIONS], then select the Inside Delivery Area check box on the Shipment tab.

Lift Gate Delivery/Pickup

When there is no loading dock, special equipment is needed to lower shipments from the truck trailer to ground level on delivery, or from the ground level to the truck trailer level on pickup.

While processing a Generic carrier shipment on the Warehouse page, click [OPTIONS], then select the Lift Gate Value check box on the Shipment tab.

Residential Delivery Surcharge

Apply a residential delivery surcharge to the shipment.

While processing a Generic carrier package on the Warehouse page, click [OPTIONS], then select the Residential Delivery Surcharge check box on the Shipment tab.

Saturday Delivery

For delivery of the shipment on a Saturday.

While processing a Generic carrier package on the Warehouse page, click [OPTIONS], then select the Saturday Delivery check box on the Shipment tab. The shipping service must be eligible for Saturday Delivery.

Saturday Pickup

For pick-up of a shipment on a Saturday.

While processing a Generic carrier package on the Warehouse page, click [OPTIONS], then select the Saturday Pickup check box on the Shipment tab. The ship date must be a Saturday.

Signature Required

Require the delivery person to obtain a recipient signature upon delivery.

While processing a Generic carrier package on the Warehouse page, click [OPTIONS], then select the Signature Required check box on the Shipment tab.

Volume

The volume (length X width X height) of the package in inches. This is to help the carrier determine special handling needs and how much space the package will occupy in a trailer.

While processing a Generic carrier shipment on the Warehouse page, click [OPTIONS], then type the volume of the package (in inches) in the Volume field on the right-side of the Shipment tab.
