New Features and General Enhancements

The following major enhancements are included in BluJay Solutions Parcel 18.0.000:

•Support for the latest versions of MySQL and MySQL Connector as follows:

        - MySQL: 5.7.19
        - MySQL Connector: 5.3.8

•BluJay Solutions Parcel has redesigned the UPS WWV (World Wide Validation) data store and the lookup to improve performance for all UPS carriers.

•BluJay Solutions Parcel now requires a one-time Product registration for upgrades and fresh installs on the 'Registration' page. Refer to the Install Guide for instructions on “Registering Parcel”.

•BluJay Solutions Parcel has added the ability to 'Refresh Application' without impacting transactions.

•BluJay Solutions Parcel has updated User Interface for better User Experience.

•BluJay Solutions Parcel supports ‘InnoDB’ as the DB Engine type.  Please contact BluJay Technical Support Team / your Project Manager for more details

•Parcel Census Tool: With version 18.0.000, BluJay Solutions Parcel periodically gathers the software version and application usage information. This will enable BluJay Solutions Inc. to provide better technical support and proactively communicate applicable hot fixes to our Parcel Customers. It will also help us deliver product enhancements that are pertinent to our Parcel Customer’s requirements in the future. No sensitive data is included and there is no impact to system performance.

•Universal Carrier Module (UCM) version 18.0.000, includes a new object type 'HTTPConnection' pooling, which enables Parcel to reuse the connection objects for Web Service communication.

•BluJay Solutions UCM has added support for the FedEx UCM carrier Web services. (Only limited services are supported). Please contact BluJay Technical Support Team / your Project Manager for more details.

The following carrier-specific enhancements are included in Parcel 18.0.000.

UPS US

•BluJay Solution Parcel has implemented 'UPS Peak Surcharge' for Residential and Large Packages shipped during November 19, 2017, - December 23, 2017, for UPS US Carrier.

DHL Global (XML-PI)

•BluJay Solutions Parcel has added support for DHL Services for EU and APAC origin:

•The following Printers are supported for above 4 listed New Services:

•BluJay Solutions Parcel has added support for U.S. origins, 4x6 inch all thermal label stock.

•BluJay Solutions Parcel has added support for the DHL Domestic Express service for US origin. Please contact DHL to use this service.

Note: This service needs prior approval from DHL to use.
