UPS - Shipper Defaults - System Tab

Use the System tab on the UPS Shipper Defaults page to enter system-related values for use with this UPS account.

Unless otherwise noted, all settings apply only to this UPS account at this location.

In this box...

Do this...

Rate Currency

Type the three-character code for the currency to use to rate shipments.

Type USD for US Dollars.

Type CAD for Canadian Dollars.

PSHP/CSHP Automatic Saturday Pickup

Select (check) the check box to automatically set the Saturday Pickup flag when performing PSHP and CSHP transactions.

Note: By default, this option is not selected.

Allow Sat Pickup GND/TDS

Select this check box to make the Saturday Pickup accessorial available for UPS Ground and Three Day Select packages.

Sat Pickup Charge GND/TDS

Type the charge for Saturday Pickup accessorial for UPS Ground and Three Day Select packages.

UPS Host

Type the URL of the UPS site to which to upload PLD files. There are different sites for testing and production:

Testing: www.pld-certify.ups.com

Production: www.pld.ups.com

FTP section - use this section to define the settings for the UPS FTP site. Parcel uploads UPS PLD and ADF files to the UPS FTP site.

URL

Type the URL of the UPS FTP site. For example, ftp.ups.com

Login ID

Type the login ID for the UPS FTP site.

Password

Type the password for the UPS FTP site.

Directory

To create a folder on the UPS FTP site, type the name of that folder.

Response Indicator Type

Nothing. The UPS Response Indicator Type appears and should not be edited.

Response Data Type

Nothing. The UPS Response Data Type appears and should not be edited.

PLD Filename Template

Type the path to store PLD files during upload. You can edit the path but do not edit the file name.

CTRL Filename Template

The path to store the Response file from the UPS server appears. You can edit the path but do not edit the file name (CTRL.ups).

VALN Filename Template

Type the path to store the Response file from the UPS server appears. You should not edit the path.

PLD section

Do this...

User Id

Type the user ID for accessing PLD files after you upload them. This is required.

Password
(Required Field)

Type the password for accessing PLD files after you upload them. This is required. Note: This is a required field.

SSL section

Host

Type the IP address for the Stunnel host.

Stunnel is used to upload PLD files to UPS.

Port

Type the port number for the Stunnel host.

Receive File

Type the path to store intermediate server communication files received from UPS during PLD uploads. You can edit the path but do not edit the file name.

Temp File

Type the path to store intermediate server communication files during PLD uploads. You can edit the path but do not edit the file name.

UPS CGI Location

Nothing. This is used in the top header creation for the PLD file.

DDU section - DDU indicates that destination charges except duties and taxes are to be paid by shipper.

DDU All Table Date

Type the last date (yyyymmdd) when the ZIPTODDUPO file is updated in the database. This is maintained by the system; for example: 20090518

DDU Table Date

Type the last date (yyyymmdd) when ZIPTODDU  file is updated in the database. This is maintained by the system; for example: 20090518

Basic Date

Type the last date (yyyymmdd) when the UPS Basic rate file is updated in the database. This is maintained by the system; for example: 20090518

PO Date

Type the last date (yyyymmdd) when the file For POBOX is updated in database. This is maintained by the system; for example: 20090518

Basic Lane Date

Type the last date (yyyymmdd) when the Lanes file is updated in database. This is maintained by the system; for example: 20090518

Access License Host

Accept the default for UPS Online® Tools registration or enter an updated Access License Host address (if applicable). The default URL for the UPS Online® Tools Web site is onlinetools.ups.com. This field is required.

Port

Accept the default for port or enter an updated Port number (if applicable). The default is 443. This field is required.

HTTP Version

Accept the default for HTTP Version or enter an updated value for the version (if applicable). The default is 1. This field is required.

Registration Host

Accept the default for Registration Host or enter an updated host address (if applicable). The default is https://onlinetools.ups.com/webservices/Registration. This field is required.

Click [SAVE] in the lower-right corner of the screen to save any changes you made or click [CANCEL] to cancel changes and revert to original values.
