UCM - Adding a UCM Carrier to a Parcel Location |

After you deploy a UCM carrier from within the UCM application, the carrier appears in the Carrier drop-down list on the Add Carrier screen in Parcel. You can then add the UCM carrier to a location just as you would any other carrier in Parcel. See the following Help topic: How to Add a Carrier.
When you add a new UCM carrier account (Add Carrier > Carrier > <UCM_Carrier_Name>), Parcel displays the screen to enter the UCM carrier account number and code. On this screen, you also select the UCM services with which you will ship packages from the location under which you are adding this UCM carrier.
Warning: Before adding any UCM carriers to Parcel, you need to configure the UCM entry in the settings table of the Parcel didb database. See the section "Deploying a Preconfigured Carrier" in the Parcel Installation Guide.
Caution: After a UCM carrier is deployed to Parcel, you must Refresh the Parcel application before adding this carrier to a location. See the following Help topic: Refresh Application. Otherwise, Parcel returns an error message when you try to add the carrier.
Notes:
•To set up a UCM carrier in Parcel, you must be a Parcel user with an Application Administrator or Enterprise Administrator role. See the following topic: User Management.
•Depending on how the UCM carrier definition is set up, UCM carrier configuration is similar to that for any other Parcel carrier. See the following Help topic: UCM Administration.
You configure a UCM carrier just as you would any other carrier in Parcel.
To configure the UCM carrier account number and services, complete these steps...
1.In the Account Number field, type the carrier account number for this location.
2.In Carrier Code field, type a name for the carrier as you want it to appear on the Web Admin (Configuration) Tool screens and on the shipping screens in Parcel. For example, if you are setting up more than one UCM account for this location, you might want to label these UCMCAR-1, UCMCAR-2, etc.
3.In the Services section, select the carrier services that you will use to ship packages from this location by selecting the service or services from the list of available services.
Note: The list of service names varies depending on how your UCM carrier definition is configured. The list of service names shows all the services that are defined for this carrier in UCM.
4.Click [ADD] to move the selected service from the left-hand column to the right-hand column. To select and move all of the services at once, click [ADD ALL].
You can also use the [Move Up] and [Move Down] (up arrow and down arrow) on the right to change the order of the services in the list of following services. Services appear in the configured order on the Services drop-down list on the Warehouse screen.
5.When you are done configuring this page, click [SAVE] in the lower-right corner of the page to save the settings. Otherwise, click the [CANCEL] to cancel the settings.
